‘Alykes’ means ‘Salt Flats’ in Greek. For years Alykes used to be a sea salt production site.
At the 80’s the flats were shut down as they were considered to be not such a profitable business for the state. Since then though, they have become a wetland hosting a vast variety of wild species such as birds migrating from Africa and Northern Europe.

Kanela Studios is located in the renowned Alykes tourist resort on the north east coast of Zakynthos Island. Very close to the beach, as well as the center of the resort with a super market, bakery, restaurants, traditional tavernas and shops where you can find anything you may need during your stay.
Alykes beach is one of the best on the island with golden sand, clear shallow waters suitable for children, many water sports you can try like surfing and kite surfing, as well as organized parts with a beach bar, umbrellas and sun loungers.
